Moonlight in the Bahamas Beautiful Eleuthera The day started hot and humid. No clouds, and the sky was a pale blue color. Jeff and I sat on the dive platform of the boat we had chartered to go scuba diving. This was a long overdue vacation to Eleuthera, in the Bahamas. One of our favorite spots to visit. We’d been coming here for years, mainly because the diving was so beautiful and relaxing. Underwater. Jeff on the right. “Go ahead, babe. You go first. I’ll be right behind,” I said. Jeff checked his mask and slipped smoothly into the water and gave a thumbs up and began his descent. I followed him and began my dive, too. The depth was an easy 40’ with no current and unlimited visibility. This was to be an anchor dive so we decided to stay relatively close to the boat. Pink sand beach! Beach Blanket   Beautiful day! The sun was above the horizon, bright and warm, as we pulled into the parking lot. Only a few cars were parked, meaning the beach was still virtually deserted. Just the way we liked it. Monday’s were always the best day to come to the beach because it was always void of visitors and it looked like today was going to be the same. This was our favorite beach, the one  I’ve written about in previous stories (see The Beach, Summer 2019). The beauty of the beach and flora, combined with the thrill of unknown adventures (you know what I mean) made this a fun place to visit. Jeff jumped out of the car and grabbed as much of our gear as he could carry. We always brought too much as far as I was concerned but Jeff loved being comfortable and prepared. “Hey babe, what if we get hungry or thirsty or it rains or we get stranded?” he asked.
